Approval Of Agenda
Items identified within the consent agenda are of a routine nature, and will be passed with one vote without being discussed separately. If a member of the court or public requests that a particular item be discussed, that agenda item will be pulled from the Consent Agenda and discussed as part of the regular agenda at the appropriate time. One vote will approve the remaining items on the Consent Agenda. 2. Approval of the minutes. 3. Request to approve payment on the following: (a) $1,225.00 for invoice dated June 11, 2018 and $1,015.00 for invoice dated June 18, 2018 for a total of $2,240.00 to Schmidt Funeral Home from line item 125-423-540705 [Transport to Morgue]. (b) $2,887.00 for Invoice # AH017268 to Harris County Treasurer from line item 125-423-540702 [Autopsy]. (c) $1,350.00 for Invoice to CIRA from line item 125-411-545001 [Maintenance Contracts] for Web Hosting 09-01-18 to 08-01-2019. 4. Request by County Auditor for approval of official documents and all monthly reports. 5. Request by County Auditor for approval and/or ratification of Accounts Payable.

Recognition of Mrs. Janie Moore, former Administrative Assistant in the Environmental Division of the Road and Bridge Department, who retired May 31, 2018 with 17 years and 10 months of service to Waller County. 7. Discuss and take action to approve advertising for a public hearing on July 25, 2018 on the establishment and the installation of school-zone speed limit signs on the following road: Four (4) School Zone Speed Limit Signs-Kingsland Blvd. near Bryant Elementary. Advertising to be posted in the Waller County News Citizen and payment funded from line item 125-401-54400 [Bid Notices and Printing], 8. Discuss and take action to approve the application for replat of Frontier Farms, Section II, Block 1, lots 5 through 27, by Mr. Rick Romero, and authorize the Road and Bridge Department to issue a public notice in the Waller County News Citizen for three consecutive weeks, establishing a public hearing at a regular session of Commissioners' Court on July 25, 2018. 9. Discuss and take action to authorize the Road and Bridge Department to pursue Texas Water Development Board Flood Protection Grants, with assistance from Halff Associates. 10. Discuss and take action to accept the proposal from EHRA Engineering for the design of a two lane bridge on Heise Rd. at Brushy Creek to replace the existing structure
11. Spread upon the minutes the change in vendor name from Waller County Child Welfare Board to Waller County Child Welfare Charity, Inc. for future payments of juror donations.
12. Discuss and take action to approve donation in the amount of $ 10,000.00 from Waller County Emergency Service District 200 to assist with Part Time Dispatch Services. Funds to be placed in line item 125-517-510101 [Part Time].
13. Discuss and take action to approve Burn Ban. 14. Discuss and take action to rescind Order prohibiting or restricting certain fireworks in unincorporated areas of Waller County. 15. Discuss and take action to issue letter of approval to Red & Blue EMS Service to provide emergency medical services in Waller County. 16. Discuss and take action to deliberate business and financial issues in executive session based on determination and recommendation from the District Attorney's Office that deliberation in an open meeting regarding business and financial issues related to purchasing or leasing real property in Precinct 1 would have a detrimental effect on the position of the County in negotiations with third persons.
19. Deliberate business and financial issues related to purchasing or leasing real property in Precinct 1 pursuant to Government Code Sections 551.072 and 551.0725. 20. Consultation with District Attorney and outside counsel pursuant to Government Code Section 551.071. 21. Reconvene in Open Session to take any action necessary on matters discussed in Executive Session.
17. Presentation and update on the Waller County Criminal Justice Center project by Danny Rothe, Brinkley Sargent Wiginton, and Sedalco. 18.
